It really defeats the purpose of an open discussion if you respond to a counter argument and then block the other person before they have a chance to even read your response in full. It’s anti-rogerian to only allow yes-men into your circles and stifle people with different mindsets. It’s childish to assume that your singular voice is the end-all-be-all of any given situation, especially if you have a sizeable audience.

I do my best to respect other people’s opinions, but if you can’t respect the fact that I may have a different one, you’ve come to the wrong place, buddy.

It is called the Osborne Reef, located off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, FloridaIn the 1970s, the reef was the subject of an ambitious expansion project utilizing old and discarded tires. The project ultimately failed, and the “reef” has come to be considered an environmental disaster—ultimately doing more harm than good in the coastal Florida waters.
